Dalam usaha untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, SMA Negeri 2 Banjarbaru telah mengambil langkah inovatif dengan mengadakan kegiatan IHT (In House Training) Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan yang diikuti oleh dewan guru pada tanggal 14-15 Agustus 2023, serta fokus pada Peningkatan Kinerja Tenaga Kependidikan pada tanggal 21-22 Agustus 2023 yang diikuti oleh staf tata usaha dan karyawan SMAN 2 Banjarbaru.
